Like any change process, people react differently and will be in different places emotionally with different needs .

With extensive experience of supporting people manage the processes of change in leaving an organisation and finding a new job and career, ProCore Solutions and Concentric HR have combined their expertise to be able to offer organisations’ tailored outplacement solutions, that support their people to achieve a successful transition to a new role, employer or career.

Through a team of experienced Recruitment, HR and Financial professionals, our flexible range of outplacement services include:

Our Approach.

Our priority is to give immediate help and assistance, emphasising that outplacement and the depth of services we offer, shows that the company does care what happens to its employees in transitioning to a new future. By using coaching and training methods, we get the employees we work with in either a 1-2-1 or group setting, to a position of having confidence as professionals to own and influence their next career move.

Individual Support.

We do this by taking the employees we work with, through a continuous 4 stage outplacement cycle of review, plan, build and search that work together as an overall framework or can be prioritised depending on individual need.

Delivered face to face, we normally hold 4 x 2 hour sessions that cover all the stages of our outplacement cycle and below are some of the activities we work on through each stage:

  1. Personal review - Discuss current circumstances, help understand and recognise the processes of change, build confidence for the future, get an overview of career and life situation, set a personal action plan.

  2. Action planning - Undertake an assessment of career, skills and accomplishments, review and develop CV, set realistic career objectives.

  3. Profile building – Create and review social media profile based against plan, guidance to develop effective networking skills and build networks.

  4. Job search – Handling recruiters, Interview and assessment centre preparation, psychometric profiling to support job search strategy, negotiating the right total reward package.

Due to business needs, we find a lot of clients and employees do prefer our shorter coaching sessions of 2 hours but we can amend session lengths depending on client and employee preference. We also deliver full day coaching sessions that cover off the above.

Individual support is provided in a 1-2-1 setting that can be in the workplace or off site if preferred. Some of our clients and employees enjoy the structured process we work to and ask for a period of continuing support and review of their job searches. For this we find that additional remote support via telephone or online via Skype works well.

Group Support.

We also offer Group programmes as they are often the most appropriate and cost-effective way to deliver support to larger numbers of people in covering off activities that are useful to all, such as Interview preparation. We deliver one day workshops for groups of 8-12, covering a range of topics including, Career Transition, Interview and Assessment Centre preparation, Job Search and Pre-Retirement.  A lot of our clients tend to ask for a delivery mix of workshop plus some individual support sessions depending on the needs and sometimes seniority of the employees. 

One example of a one-day workshop we deliver is called ‘Job Search Support’ and it covers off elements of our 4-stage cycle with a focus upon, the process of change, CV guidance, setting career objectives, interview preparation, networking techniques and job search strategies and advice.

Executive and Senior Staff Support.

We know that Executives and Senior Staff have very specific outplacement needs. Our executive outplacement programmes deliver unlimited expert, professional support to senior level individuals. Our approach ensures individuals are given time to explore a variety of career options with the support of a highly experienced Consultant. The programmes offer a high level of personally tailored coaching and support and would typically include unlimited face to face coaching, access to our job networks and headhunting community, development of an effective marketing and networking plan in addition to access to the unadvertised market. Support would be provided usually for a 6 to 12-month period.


In exit situations, we find that we have clients considering early retirement, or nearing retirement age, who do benefit from support in making the transition from work to retirement. When individuals consider retirement they often do not investigate the personal and professional implications. We encourage both the individual and their partner to attend a holistic seminar encompassing topics including personal changes, future options and financial advice. Providing this support helps employees explore employment options, educational opportunities and voluntary work as well as financial and lifestyle considerations in retirement.

Independent Financial Advice.

A major barrier to change can be individual concern over the financial implications involved. Early access to impartial advice on these matters is essential and we can arrange access to respected independent professionals in this field either on a group or individual basis. Our Financial Advice partner has worked with us for many years.

Independent Financial Advice Seminars.

Where appropriate, we are able to provide FREE IFA Seminars to groups of individuals who are then able to follow up with a personal one to one consultation where required. Seminars can be comfortably delivered in a half day and attendees will have the chance to request a free no obligation personal consultation at a mutually convenient date/time and location. Financial planning sessions typically include some of the subjects detailed below but can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the group:

  • About Financial Advice (Types of advice and things to consider i.e. cost and charges, scope of advice)

  • Pension Options (Occupational and other pension options including efficient ways to take benefits)

  • State Benefits (State Pension and Other Appropriate Benefits)
